Government and Institutions

SNAI operates in a rigidly monitored and regulated sector and constantly interacts with Institutions. Compliance with rules, transparency and collaboration in combating illegal gambling are the principles which have served as the foundations for the continuous communications of the Company with the Government.

By means of its Customs and Monopolies Agency (“Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli”, Adm) – a division of the Department of Finances of the Ministry of the Economy – the Government regulates and monitors the gambling and betting sector. The range of gambling services is established by law and assigned to individual licensees through public tenders. The Adm is also entrusted with monitoring the compliance of licensees.

Snai – which believes in legality as an absolute value, and is conscious of the social effects of its activities – works towards maximum collaboration with Institutions during its daily activities. As a licensee Company in the gambling and betting sector, it:

  • contributes to the collection of tax inflows;
  • is committed to combating illegal gambling;
  • promotes the adoption of responsible gambling habits.

Compliance with regulations pertaining to secure gambling is simply one of the elements with which Snai aids the Institutions in protecting and safeguarding gamblers. The profitable integration of Company terminals with the IT facilities of Sogei (a company controlled by the Ministry of the Economy) is an additional example of the search for transparency and regularity in each transaction which Snai pursues as objectives in order to guarantee secure gambling for consumers and compliance with the law for the Government.
